Bollywood actress Kajol recently opened up about her eerie experiences while shooting for her upcoming film Maa at Hyderabad’s Ramoji Film City. During the film’s promotional event, Kajol described the iconic studio as “haunted” and revealed that she often felt uneasy while working there.
Kajol shared, “We never really know where to sleep at night, or if we even want to come back after leaving. Ramoji Film City is said to be one of the most haunted places in the world. I was lucky not to have seen anything, but I definitely felt the spooky vibes.”
Ramoji Film City, one of India’s largest film studio complexes, has been the backdrop for many Bollywood and Tollywood blockbusters. Kajol’s husband, actor Ajay Devgn, has also frequently worked there, with his recent shoot for the Telugu hit RRR taking place at the same location.
In Maa, Kajol plays a fiercely protective mother willing to fight against all odds to safeguard her child. The film also stars Ronit Roy, Indraneil Sengupta, Surjyasikha Das, Ajay Devgn, and reportedly R. Madhavan. Produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Jio Studios, and Devgn Films, the movie is directed by Vishal Furia with a screenplay by Saiwyn Quadras, known for emotionally grounded stories.
Maa is highly anticipated and marks another powerful performance from Kajol, who continues to captivate audiences with her versatile roles.
